Contraception The Choice is yours

What are my contraceptive choices?

When it comes to choosing a method of contraception, there will be options that suit your body and lifestyle better than others, so you can get on with thinking about your life and not just preventing pregnancy.

Click on the options for more information on how you use it, how long for and possible side-effects:

Hormonal contraceptives:
Oral contraceptives, contraceptive implant, contraceptive injection, contraceptive patch and intrauterine system (IUS)

Non-hormonal contraceptives:
Intrauterine device (IUD), barrier methods (including male condom, female condom and diaphragm/cap), spermicide and natural family planning

Question: Should women be told about all the contraceptive choices available to them?
